Clinique has been known for their clean, simple, and fragrance free products for years. What's also great about their cosmetics is that they are usable for any skin type since they are allergy tested. Everything by Clinique is amazing but we especially love their lipsticks (aka Chubby Sticks). These great lipsticks come in 16 lovely shades, two of which are shown below. We own the "Whole Lotta Honey" and "Curvy Candy" shades. "Whole Lotta Honey " is a great color with an of auburn tone and a hint of light orange. This may sound a little crazy (orange!?!?), but trust us it looks amazing on lips! "Curvy Candy" has a nice punch of hot pink and with a little salmon to tone it down a bit. This color is perfect for just regular wear or to spruce up a fancy outfit! Both of these colors are amazing to use all year round and to layer with your favorite gloss. Please enjoy! :)
Here at EM&M the right lip balm is always the best accessory! We are in love with this one company called EOS (Evolution Of Smooth), that makes your lips feel as soft as clouds! The round colorful containers that they come in are are beautiful within themselves. All of the flavors are fresh and smell amazing.
Here are all of the flavors: (from the far left)
Light Orange- Medicated Tangerine
Light Pink- Strawberry Sorbet
Dark Blue- Blueberry Acai
Light Green- Honeysuckle Honeydew
Light Purple- Passion Fruit
Cream- Vanilla Bean
Yellow- Lemon Drop
Light Blue- Sweet Mint
Red- Pomegranate Raspberry
Dark Orange- Summer Fruit
They are just so pretty aren't they? This is Emma's collection which took some hard work to all collect. EOS can be found at your local pharmacy or Target. We love EOS!!! Enjoy! :)
Gwen Stefani's new nail polish collection with OPI is gorgeous! My favorite from the line is I Sing In Color. It looks like a blackberry color with hint of burgundy. It looks great on short nails since it's such a knockout color.
Here's what it looks like on me!
I know, isn't beautiful? I think I've found my nail color calling everyone! Enjoy! :)
We have got another DIY lip balm that looks cute and smells good too! What could be a better duo? This lip balm is great for everyday, and especially for the dry, cold weather that's been going around. Plus it smells like peppermint and vanilla and is in an adorable Altoids container!
Here's how to make this amazing lip balm!
All you need is:
Altoids Tin(s) (we used a big and a mini)
Wax Pellets (we used beeswax; you can estimate how much you need depending on your tin(s) size(s); we started off with a half a cup and added accordingly)
Sunflower Oil (measurements vary)
(Sunflower oil not pictured.)
That's all it takes to make this wonderful looking and smelling lip balm! Enjoy! :)
Although winter is a perfect season, it does have its downsides. One of the main ones for us is that the dry weather makes skin dry. We found a fabulous solution, however, to rough, dry hands. The Burt's Bees Hand Repair Kit everyone!
The whole kit includes:
•Gloves to sleep in with cream on your hands
•Hand repair creme
This is a great buy, especially with Christmas around the corner!
Just got my nails painted this color by Essie called Glamour Purse. Who knew Essie had such awesome colors? I've always been an OPI girl. But, this color rocks and it looks great for any season! Check it out!
I just found this new nail color from OPI and I think I have fallen in love! It's called "In the Cable Carpool Lane." If you've checked out Meet Emma you would know how much I love San Francisco! So when I found out that OPI was doing a "Fall In San Francisco" line, I went nuts. This color looks darker in the bottle so I was surprised when my nails came out looking like a dark raspberry. But who cares, I love it!
Check out this great new color from OPI!
The Clarisonic is probably my lifesaver. I never take a shower without using it, even when I'm traveling! I use the Mia 2 which has switchable brushes for your skin type, and you can use your normal skin soap with it (except if it has beads in it.) The Clarisonic works on 4 different parts of your face, your forehead, nose and chin area, and both of your cheeks. This product is a bit expensive, especially since the brush must be bought separately, but it makes a great gift for the holidays! Trust me, this face cleanser is totally worth all the hype! Get one!!!
Fall is coming, which means that dry lips are too! Also, fall brings along tea time on cold days. Why not make a lip balm that has tea leaves and is a good remedy for dry lips? Well here is a recipe just for that! This recipe isn't the most practical because of the beeswax that is involved, but the wax can be found at certain craft stores and on online stores like Etsy and Amazon.
Here's what you will need:
2 tablespoons olive oil (almond oil and sunflower oil work too)
1 teaspoon beeswax
1/4 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon peppermint tea bag (cut open; add more tea leaves if scent is not coming through; works with any tea)
Lip balm tin/container (an old mint box works too!)
Adapted from Henry Happened
In a small pot, add the oil, beeswax, and honey on a medium heat. Then take the pot off the flame and add the tea leaves.
That's all it takes to make the perfect fall lip balm! There are more recipes to come! :)
